Maladean started in the mental health field after leaving the military and retiring from the Veterans Administration. She decided to give back and sought God in the decision. After thinking about how she always loved helping others with their problems it was revealed that mental health counseling was the next step in her life.
Maladean earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Logistics degree from Trident University International located in Cypress California. In 2019 she graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and has worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the past five years, providing community mental health services to a mosaic of ethnicities. Maladean stood up her own private practice and began to provide telehealth services for diverse populations.
Maladean has had experience in providing counseling services to individuals, families, and couples utilizing various evidence base intervention modalities. The counseling services over the years included working with children and adolescents whether the client faced challenges with ADHD, depression, anxiety, anger, or relationship challenges. She walked alongside each client as they traveled through their challenges, providing an appropriate counseling technique that is suited for each client.
Maladean is a Tier three trauma certified provider with the Star Behavioral Health Provider network that serves the military. She also has served as a mentor with the VA county court system in Cleveland, Ohio for several years.
